Top 10 Rom Coms To Watch This Valentine’s Season

Valentine’s Day is the holiday for love and rom-coms. In honor of the Month of Love here are the top 5 rom coms you and the girls can watch this Valentine’s season.

1. 10 Things I Hate About You

10 Things I Hate About You is a modern-day take on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. The father of an extroverted and bubbly personality, Bianca Stratford will only allow Bianca to date when her abrasive and stern sister, Kat starts dating. Two of Bianca’s love interests start paying bad boy Patrick Verona to take Kat out on dates. Patrick takes on this bet and the forced couple ends up catching real feelings for each other until Kat figures out that Patrick has been making money off their relationship.

2. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days is a 2000s classic starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. Magazine columnist, Andi Anderson is challenged to write a story on what men find unattractive in women. To get into character for her story, Andi starts dating Ben and begins to test his limits to see how long he will stay with her. On the other hand, Ben is challenged by his colleagues to see how fast he can attract a woman. The couple ends up falling in love but will soon come to find out that their relationship was used for work purposes only.

3. Anyone But You

Taking a pause on our classic 2000s rom-com and introducing the newest “IT” rom-com of the decade, Anyone but You. Anyone but You is a fun, dramatic, enemies-to-lovers film starring Euphoria Star, Sydney Sweeney, and Top Gun fan favorite, Glen Powell. Enemies, Brie and Ben are stuck in Australia together for a wedding they’re both in. During the trip, the couple makes a pact to pretend to be in love to win back their exes. Throughout this act, Brie and Ben go on crazy adventures and fall for each other.

4. To All The Boys I’ve Loved

Another recent rom-com is To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before based on the novel by Jenny Han. High school Junior, Laura Jean is a hopeless romantic who is terrified to speak to her past crushes, let alone boys in general. Whenever Laura Jean experienced a crush she would write him a letter but all the letters would sit in her closet for years until somehow they all are sent out to her past lovers.

5. 27 Dresses

27 dresses is a “always a bridesmaid never a bride” love story. Jane Nichols has participated in 27 weddings as a bridesmaid but has yet to find her true love. Not until she meets a writer named Kevin who is interested in writing a story about the crazy stories behind her 27 bridesmaid dresses. Throughout this movie the audience watches two friends fall in love.

These fan-favorite films can be watched leading up to Valentine’s Day, during a Galentine’s party, or any time of the year. Rom-Coms are the perfect mix of a good laugh and romance that everyone can enjoy.
