Todd Wiggen elected secretary for Association of Leadership Educators

Dr. Todd Wiggen, coordinator of the Reach Higher Flex Finish program at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, was recently elected to a two-year term as secretary for the Association of Leadership Educators (ALE).
Wiggen will serve until July 2022 in the position.
The ALE was formed in 1990 as the premier international professional association for leadership educators. The association serves as a resource for the exchange and development of quality ideas, scholarship and practice that impacts the field of leadership education.
Wiggen is an assistant professor in the Everett Dobson School of Business and Technology at SWOSU and serves as the coordinator of the Organizational Leadership (Reach Higher) program. He is currently the four-year council chair for the State of Oklahoma’s Reach Higher program, a degree-finishing program offering a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership.
He also serves as editor-in-chief of the Administrative Issues Journal, based at SWOSU.
Prior to election to the ALE board, Wiggen served on the association’s conference and awards committees, presented at the annual conference, and assisted ALE reviewing grant applications, conference proposals and article submissions for the Journal of Leadership Education.
Prior to joining the faculty at SWOSU, Wiggen served as an officer in the United States Coast Guard, retiring from active service in 2016.
He is married to Kate and his son, Joshua, will attend SWOSU in the fall.
