SWOSU Police Department on Thursday, Aug. 26, arrested William Marcus Ramsey, 36, from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, for breaking into the Administration Building.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, SWOSU PD officer Brandon Lewis was informed at 4:42 a.m. by Weatherford PD dispatch that a man was sleeping in a break room on the 2nd floor of the administration building. He was found by a custodian sleeping on a couch “with his pants off.”

By the time the officer arrived at the scene, 2 Weatherford PD officers had already secured the building. After speaking with the custodian and due to “previous encounters with our department with him,” the campus patrolman was able to know what the suspect looked like.

After the officer had talked to the custodian, he saw an individual leaving the building. He could be stopped between the Admin Building and Old Science Building. He was identified by the custodian to be the man sleeping in the break room. Ramsey was placed under arrest and transported to Custer County Jail in Arapaho.
