22 active COVID-19 cases at SWOSU

The SWOSU administration announced on Tuesday, Jan. 26, that there are currently 22 active COVID-19 cases at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
There are 18 reported cases among students on the Weatherford campus, as well as 2 on the Sayre campus. In addition to that, 2 employees are infected with the coronavirus.
The numbers mark a slight increase compared to last week, when 17 cases (1 employees, 16 Weatherford students) were reported positive.
The city of Weatherford currently has 52 active COVID-19 cases, according to the Oklahoma Health Department.
As a reminder: In order for classes to go virtual, 250 students need to be infected with COVID-19, according to the SWOSU phase plan.
