It's no secret that college comes with a pretty large price tag. Oftentimes, this doesn't leave extra money for students to have fun. In this article, we'll explore some affordable yet worthwhile hobbies for college students that won't break the bank.

According to mySanantonio.com, here are some ideas for students to enjoy without going broke.

1. Have a movie night

The key to creating a fun movie night is to make delicious snacks, come up with a fun theme for the evening, and pretend that you are at the theater. With Halloween approaching, what better time to host a horror movie night or fright fest? Here are some more fun ideas for movie night.

2. Have a game night

Board games never go out of style. They also make a great way for friends and family to spend quality time together. Whether it be board game or a virtual game online, everyone is sure to have fun. Virtual game nights keep guests engaged with the game while socializing with friends and loved ones safely during these times of pandemic.

3. Take a road trip

Sometimes all you need to refill your tank is a few days on the open road. Roll down the windows and crank up the volume. Feel the wind in your hair and go wherever the highway takes you. A road trip is a great way to have fun while remaining socially distanced. For more tips on taking a road trip during the pandemic, go to huffpost.

During these trying times, it's more important than ever to come together and be around the people you care about. However, it's now harder than ever to do so. However, what better way to interact than those you hold dear than to host a Zoom room? Invite your friends and family on Zoom and watch a new Netflix series or have dinner together.

5. Go camping

A way to have fun without spending money is to find an outdoor adventure. This country offers fabulous national parks just waiting to be discovered. So, load up your gear, pitch your tent, and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime. Here are some popular destinations in Oklahoma to camp.

Despite the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there's still plenty of fun to be had. In fact, seeking out enjoyable activities may be more important now than before. Doing something you enjoy can distract you from problems and help you cope with life's new challenges.
