Are you a Weatherford-area business having a problem finding workers to fill open positions?

Are you a student looking for a job?

Weatherford Works is being launched this year to help connect students and area employers.

Invite your friend to the event via Facebook!

It is a job fair scheduled for 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, in the Pioneer Cellular Event Center on the SWOSU campus. It is being sponsored by The Southwestern, the student news media, and SWOSU Career Exploration and Dean of Students offices.

Interested employers can reserve a table at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center by contacting Heather Hummel at heather.hummel@swosu.edu or 580-774-3259 by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12. Those participating may bring any materials to distribute, as well as interview employee prospects on the spot.

The job fair is open to Custer County residents in addition to area college and high school students.

For more information, contact Dr. Loran Lewis at 580-774-3083 or by email at loran.lewis@swosu.edu.
