Crowder Lake and swimming pool are now open

The Crowder Lake University Park and SWOSU swimming pool, which is located in the Ranking Williams Fieldhouse, opened for activities June 8, director Paul Hummel has announced.
Crowder Lake is operated by Southwestern Oklahoma State University since 1997. It is a 158-water-acre and 159-land-acre park and features a number of facilities and outdoor activities for the SWOSU community and the general public.
Hummel provided the following guidelines for the park and pool:
Crowder Lake- Rental of kayaks open today (Monday June 8)
time of rentals are from 1-7 pm
last rental goes out at 6 pm
2 hour maximum time for rentals
rentals are free for valid SWOSU ID holders- one free rental per ID
$10 per watercraft per hour for non-ID holders
we are sanitizing all rental equipment between uses
please come to window at office to sign waivers and be assigned a kayak
we are not doing stand up paddle boards at this time
we do not rent if the wind is above 20 mph
Pool- Open today from 1-5
hours of operation for the summer: Monday-Friday 1-5, closed on weekends
open for individual fitness only
swim laps in designated lap lanes
water aerobics can be preformed in non-designated lap lanes
bring valid SWOSU ID
