Crowder Lake has been a part of SWOSU since 1997. It is located approximately 10 minutes south of Weatherford and is open from March through October each year.

The park offers many opportunities for SWOSU students to spend time enjoying the outdoors through various activities. Students can rent a kayak, paddle board, or canoe. They can also fish, swim, and go for a walk along the one mile walking trail. There is also a climbing tower and ropes course.

Camping is also available at Crowder Lake. There are five RV sites and seven tent sites around the grounds. Each camp site includes a picnic table, a grill, and a fire pit, while the RV sites also include water and electricity.

All park rentals are first come, first serve. There are no reservations.

Watercraft rentals are free for all students with a valid SWOSU ID and can be rented from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. daily, with the last rental going out at 6 p.m. There is a two hour max time limit on watercraft rentals. Camping is $20 a night for an RV site and $12 a night for a tent site. Students also get a half-off discount on camping with a valid ID. Pricing varies for the tower and ropes course.

For more information about Crowder Lake, students can call the office at 580-343-2443 or visit the Crowder Lake tab via the SWOSU website.
