Third game, third win. And what a win! The SWOSU Women's Basketball team on Monday defeated NWOSU 93-47.

The offense was flowing as both teams were shooting well early in the 1st quarter. Macy Gore started 3/3 from beyond the arc, but after the 1st quarter media timeout, the scoring slowed. A few buckets here and there and heavy full-court pressure allowed SWOSU to slowly push the lead to double figures by the end of 1, 23-11.

They Lady Dawgs started the 2nd frame with even more pressure, jumping out to a 16-point lead. 4-minutes into the 2nd quarter the Lady Rangers finally get on the board with a hook shot from Bailey Brown, butting the lead to 18 with 6:13 to go. A great offense from Makyra Tramble gave the Dawgs a 21-point lead with just over 3 minutes to go and it would be SWOSU the rest of the way. Karly Gore would end the half with a bang as she hit the 3 as the buzzer sounded and gave SWOSU a 46-19 lead!

NWOSU came out and was much more settled in the 3rd frame as they scored 17, but the Lady Dawgs continued to push the pace and score at efficient rate while dropping 26 points to hold the lead at 36, 72-36 to end the 3rd quarter.

The Lady Rangers continued to score but the Dawgs fought back as Maddy North hit a jumper with 5:24 to go and with 5 steals in a span of 2:20, they went on a 10-0 run. At the 3:08 mark, the Bulldogs led 87-44. There wouldn’t be any threat to their lead as the Lady Dawgs coasted to an easy 93-47 win over rival NWOSU.

Macy Gore ended the night with 21 points, hitting 5/7 from 3 point land tonight. Makyra Tramble had 19 points with 5 assists and 6 rebounds as she once again, does it all for the Dawgs.

Their next game will against Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla. on Thursday, Jan. 14, at 5:30 pm.
