The Leadership Weatherford class will be participating in a class March 10 on the SWOSU campus.
Each year, the Leadership Weatherford committee selects up to 15 people who are interested in participating in the class. The current class is the 22nd class to participate in Leadership Weatherford. This year, the class began in September with a weekend retreat.
Throughout the year, there are eight additional classes. Each class focuses on a different area of leadership. Some of those topics include education, legal issues, economic development, civil engagement, state capital and the arts.
After completing the Leadership Weatherford class, individuals are encouraged to get involved as leaders in the community.
The March class will emphasize music and the arts, and their importance to the community.
Those interested in participating in Leadership Weatherford can email Christina Darras, chair of the committee, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
