This week’s professor spotlight features Reggie Yount.

Yount has worked as an adjunct professor for four years, and is currently working his first year as a full-time professor at SWOSU.

He graduated high school from Hobart, and completed both his undergraduate degrees and his graduate degrees from SWOSU.

Yount was born on April 20, 1988. Ever since he was little, he wanted to be a teacher and a coach. During high school, he participated in sports, FCA, Student Council, FCCLA, and junior main street. He was also a class officer.

In his free time, Yount likes to spend time with his family, golf, cook, and watch tv. His favorite color is blue. His favorite sports team to root for is the SWOSU Bulldogs. His favorite trip he’s been on was his honeymoon to Mexico. He considers himself to be the most boring person to meet.

His favorite SWOSU memory is proposing to his girlfriend on the SWOSU golf course, graduating, and then getting married a week later.

Yount’s advice to students across campus is “show up, work hard, and have fun.”
