Senior Portraits will be taken on Nov. 16 and 17.
The Nov. 16 session will be available from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Nov. 17 session will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Portraits will be taken in the Pioneer Cellular Event Center lobby.
This year, there are two available sittings for seniors to attend. There is a sitting for cap and gown photos, as well as an informal sitting. Seniors will be able to choose one or the other or they can take both.
The informal sitting will still need to be a nice shirt, however. These pictures will be used for the graduate record that will be distributed in the spring semester at commencement.
Both sittings will be free. Seniors will not be required to purchase their portraits either. They can still purchase packages if they would like to, though.
Seniors who are unable to attend the sittings can still submit a portrait of themselves. They can email a quality .jpeg image of themselves to firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Seniors may not think much of having their photo taken for the senior yearbook, the graduate record, but it's one of those things that 5, 10, 15 years down the line, you wish you had copies of what you looked like or what your friends looked like in college and when you graduated. This is one way to do that and to allow people to have pictures of you," Loran Lewis, head of the graduate record and a SWOSU professor, said.
