Steve Johnson and Kaylee Wendt named to new positions at SWOSU
Steve Johnson has been named comptroller and director of business services, and Kaylee Wendt will go from interim bursar to bursar, both effective 1/1/2021.
Steve earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 and Master of Business Administration in 1987, both from SWOSU. He received an Associate of Arts from Western Oklahoma State College in 1982. Steve started work at the university in 1989 in the financial aid office and moved to the business office in 1990 as the lead university accountant. He has served as assistant comptroller since 1993. Steve’s son, Kyle, and daughter-in-law, Wendy, along with their children Cannen and Evynn, live in Weatherford.
Kaylee graduated from SWOSU in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. While at SWOSU, the Cordell High School graduate was a student worker in the bursar’s office and eventually accepted a full-time job. She was assistant bursar before being named to the interim position. She is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree. Kaylee and her husband, Kade, reside in Weatherford.
