SWOSU Flute Day planned in October
The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Music and Flute Studio are hosting the 5th annual SWOSU Flute Day on Sunday, October 18, featuring Altus Performing Artist Nicole Riner of the University of Wyoming.
The event is free and open to the public. The first 50 middle and high school flutists registered by October 1 will receive a free t-shirt and will be invited to participate in a virtual flute choir. Audition clinics are subject to enrollment as of Oct. 1.
The virtual event is appropriate for flutists and music appreciators of all ages and abilities. Activities include a warm up session (Rockstar Workout), master class, audition workshops/interactive classes, recital, and virtual flute choir.
Audition clinics for SWOBDA, CODA, Short Grass, Oklahoma (OkMEA) All-State and Red Carpet etudes are available for 7th, 8-9th, and 10-12th grade flutists. Register at http://bit.ly/2020SWOSUFluteDay
