The SWOSU Men’s basketball team played very well Thursday night against East Central in their first game since last March. The defense is what really spoke volumes against the Tigers. From the 8 minute mark of the second half to about the 3 minute mark, ECU couldn’t get near the basket.

The defense was impenetrable.

On offense, Tauriawn Knight went off for 25 points and hit 7/11 from beyond the arc.

Damion Thornton continued his prolific scoring from a season ago. He got his work done on the inside as he finished with 24 points. He finished 8/10 from the floor and also grabbed 14 rebounds.

Defensively, Kamden Gipson led the way with 4 steals as he was able to lock up ECU players left and right.

For SEOSU, they lost their opener against Oklahoma Baptist 73-59.

Kellen Manek led the way with 14 points for the Savage Storm.

The game today begins at 4:00 p.m. central time following the women’s game.
