Students looking for assistance on papers, speeches, or presentations can consult the SWOSU Writing Center for advice on their projects.
The Writing Center is located in the Al Harris Library in Room B3. Dr. Denise Landrum-Geyer, who serves as the writing center coordinator, said there is a new online appointment scheduling system students can use to reserve an appointment. Appointments can be made at www.swosu.mywconline.com, but the Writing Center also accepts walk-in consultations.
Students can also submit drafts of their work to firstname.lastname@example.org for an online consultation if they cannot meet in person.
The Writing Center will be open this semester from Jan. 21 to May 1, but will be closed for Spring Break. Their hours are as follows: Sunday 5-9 p.m., Monday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday: noon to 7 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4:30 p.m.
