The SWOSU Lady Dawgs took on the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist today and attempted to avenge a loss on Thursday night in Bethany against SNU - and that they did. They came out hot and hit their first 3 shots of the game, all of them 3’s and took an early 9-2 lead.
OBU would bounce back and get within 2-points, and that would be it as Makyra Tramble and the Lady Dawgs would just run away with the game after that. At the end of the 1st quarter, the Bulldogs led 32-11.
SWOSU defense and poor Bison shooting would be the story of the 2nd quarter as the Dawgs would lead 52-33 to close out the 1st half. Tramble shot 72.7% from the field, 57.1% from 3-point land, and 83.3% from the free-throw line. She ended the half with 25-points. Macy Gore headed into the half with 12-points.
Tramble and the Dawgs continued to roll in the 3rd quarter as they dropped 22-points to OBU’s 17 and took a 74-50 lead heading into the final frame. The Lady Dawgs would ride a 20+ point lead the rest of the way and blow OBU out of the water with a 93-64 win and grab their 12th win on the year and their 3rd win over the Bison.
They are set to take on Northwestern on Monday. That is pending if weather permits.
