The production of “The Tailor of Gloucester” will be opening at SWOSUs Hilltop Theatre on Friday, Feb. 21 for the public.

There will be a showing on Friday at 7 p.m., as well as a showing on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for non-SWOSU students and free for students with a valid student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the door or through the Hilltop Theatre box office. The box office will be open starting Feb.17 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The production will last approximately 30 minutes. It is based on the children’s book “The Tailor of Gloucester.” It is about an old tailor whose work is completed by the grateful mice he rescues from his cat.

Dr. Kelly Logan is credited with the stage adaptation. SWOSU will be the first to perform this adaptation. The production is all student designed.

“It’s lots and lots of fun with a lot of eye candy!” Steve Strickler, director, said.
