The Wellness Center on Southwestern Oklahoma State University's Weatherford campus is now open from Monday to Friday. This is another attempt of many by the SWOSU administration to slowly reopen the campus amid the coronavirus pandemic.

What you need to know to use the Wellness Center safely

The Wellness Center can be used between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. as well as from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., the facility is closed for cleaning.

Everyone using the gym is required to clean equipment as usual, reinforced by student workers who will monitor and clean the weight room and cardio area. The weight room is limited to 4 people at the time (including student worker), the second floor weight/strength machines to 3 patrons.

Please use the designated entrance and exit doors appropriately to help minimize contact with other people. Patrons using the indoor track must wear a face mask. No fitness classes or personal training is allowed, as well as no basketball, indoor volleyball, indoor soccer, and the use of group seating areas. Table tennis is open.

The perimeter of the basketball courts will be used as a second walking track, in addition to the upstairs track. Limit 20 patrons.

The stairways will be marked to go one direction (West up, North down). Sanitation wipes and hand sanitizer will be provided. Only bottle-fill drinking fountains are open.
